Training & Career Development

During this financial year, a range of training programmes were attended by staff. As a parastatal that sells maize staple food for Swaziland we ensured that training and career development continues to be a priority.  Staff is encouraged to enrol for relevant study courses leading to professional qualifications. The Company fully supports the continuous development of its intellectual capital in order to boost productivity. Members of staff attended various training courses and workshops during the period under review.

Exhibitions and Trade Fairs

The organisation participated in the country’s International Trade Fair and the National Maize Competition (NAMCOM). NMC is the main sponsor of the National Maize Competition. This is a sure sign of the growing importance using such fora as a means of presenting NMC’s products and services to both a select and a mass public.

Community Care

One of the National Maize Corporation’s core values is social responsibility, which the corporation recognises by donating to deserving national charity organisations. The Corporation will continue to identify deserving national charity organisations and donate towards their causes. In this vein, reasonable donations were given out to a number of organisations during the period under review.
