CEO’s Office

The CEO’s Office is responsible for the overall operations and strategic direction of the Corporation, ensuring that all departments function cohesively toward NMC’s mandate and goals. It provides leadership, oversight, and coordination across the business to drive efficiency, accountability, and sustainable growth. Strategically placed within the office are the Communications, Strategy, SHEQ and Legal units, which support corporate governance, institutional positioning, and the effective implementation of NMC’s long-term objectives.

Farmer Development and Mechanization

The Farmer Development and Mechanization Department drives company’s efforts to empower farmers and strengthen national food security. The department oversees the Farmer Development Unit, manages the Input Subsidy Programme, and serves as custodian of the company’s tractors and agricultural plant. Through these initiatives, the department promotes access to affordable inputs, mechanized farming solutions, and technical support, ensuring that farmers across the country are better equipped to improve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in crop production.

Commercial and Operations

The Commercial department is responsible for ensuring that NMC operates along viable commercial lines, positioning the Corporation to remain competitive, financially sustainable, and responsive to market dynamics. It ensures the smooth flow of operations from storage to sales, maintaining quality and efficiency across the value chain. The department comprises key units - Storage, Warehouse and Packaging, Sales and Marketing, and Merchandising.

Risk and Internal Audit

The Risk and Internal Audit Department provides independent oversight to support NMC’s mandate of ensuring food security and efficient commodity trading. The department oversees enterprise risk management and internal audit, focusing on risks related to grain procurement, storage, trading, and financial management.

Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for the financial management and sustainability of the company. It oversees all financial operations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. The department comprises three key units - Procurement and Contracts Management, Financial Accounting, and Management Accounting - which collectively manage budgeting, expenditure, reporting, and strategic resource allocation.

Humans Resources

The Human Resources Department is responsible for managing the corporation’s human capital and administrative support services. It oversees recruitment, employee welfare, and payroll, while also managing critical operational functions such as Information Technology, Facilities, Fleet Management, Maintenance, and Security. Through these functions, the department ensures a productive, safe, and well-supported work environment that enables staff to perform effectively and contributes to the overall efficiency and success of the Corporation.
